There are rumours that the sporran is not made, but, hatches out from eggs, but there is no proof of this, especially as it is said that the eggs are laid by Tartan cows, somewhere in the Trossacks. This may explain the strange appearance of the Scottish Sporran, but, it does leave a question-mark concerning the origin of the Cornish Sporran, are they, as some say, hatched ? (Cornish Sporrans would of course Not be hatched in the Trossacks but at the base of Brown Willy)
